We have the pleasure of inviting you to the World premiere of the Outdoor Exhibition 'Wild Wonders of Europe' in the city of The Hague. This extraordinary event will be held on May 27, from 3pm to 5:30pm. The official opening will be conducted by Her Royal Highness Princess Irene of The Netherlands and attended by leading European dignitaries.
Wild Wonders of Europe is about the incredible biodiversity and shared natural heritage of our continent and is developed as part of the 2010 United Nations International Year of Biodiversity. It celebrates the amazing wildlife comeback in Europe whilst at the same time highlighting the biodiversity loss and serious challenges ahead. The exhibition focuses on the Joy of the Wild and gives one of the answers to the very contemporary question: "What is Europe?"
The Hague, as second UN city in the world, is proud to host the world premiere of this special event which will be displayed from 27 May to 30 August. Wild Wonders of Europe shall be shown across Europe and North America in the coming years
Wild Wonders of Europe is a free open-air photo exhibition at The Hague's Lange Vijverberg of 100 stunning, life-size nature photographs by 69 of Europe's top photographers, taken in 48 European countries. The photos showcase the beauty of Europe's wild nature and its natural treasures.
Attending dignitaries include The Dutch Minister of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality, The Mayor of The Hague, 9 European Ambassadors including Italy, Malta, Ireland, Turkey, Croatia; EU Commission, DG Environment, Director for Nature Ladislav Miko and European Parliamentarians together with leading influential decision makers in the world of conservation such as the Director of Staatsbosbeheer, WWF Netherlands and Belgium Directors, The Director of the Wild Europe Initiative and iLCP Director Cristina Mittermeier.
Interviews can be arranged with the 4 project Directors and the 16 internationally famous photographers who participated in the project, including: Peter Cairns & Pete Oxford (UK); Staffan Widstrand, Magnus Elander; Magnus Lundgren, Anders Giedemark (Sweden); Ole Jorgen Liodden and Tom Schandy (Norway); Milan Radisics (Hungary); Florian Moellers and Frank Krahmer (Germany); Maurizio Biancarelli and Ellio della Ferrera;The (Italy); Edwin Giesbers and Ruben Smit (Netherlands); and Nuno Sá (Portugal).

You are invited on May 27 at 3pm at the 'Ridderzaal' (Hall of Knights), Binnenhof 8A, The Hague, The Netherlands. Around 5pm Her Royal Highness Princess Irene of the Netherlands will officially open the exhibition at the Lange Vijverberg. The programme ends at 5:30pm.
