The Sustainability Forum Zürich (TSF) invites you to the 10th International Sustainability Leadership Symposium 2009 (10-11 September, Ruschlikon, Switzerland).
At the 10th International Sustainability Leadership Symposium 2009, international thought leaders, experts and high-level practitioners are meeting to debate the most relevant question of today: How to restore trust in the financial markets?
The Symposium will tackle this question, focusing on solutions. James Surowiecki, author of "The Wisdom of Crowds", will get us started by framing the psychology of markets. Analysis by seven highly respected experts and practitioners, like Peter Voser and Bill Emmott, available for preview in our recently released discussion paper (www.sustainability-zurich.org/en/p67000345.html) will provide a jumping-off point for our debates. In daily breakout sessions we will take on key issues relating to investors, risk and corporate values. A panel discussion will close the two-day conference by reflecting on the solutions proposed during the Symposium.
The confirmed keynote speakers are:
- David Blood, Senior Partner, Generation Investment Management
- Thomas F. Cooley, Dean, New York University Stern School of Business
- Sean J. Egan, founding partner & managing director, Egan-Jones Ratings Company
- Bill Emmott, former editor of The Economist
- James Surowiecki, Financial columnist, The New Yorker
- Kaspar Villiger, Chairman UBS, former Federal Counciller of Switzerland
This year, the Sustainability Forum Zürich celebrates its 10th anniversary. As the premier event in Switzerland for business executives to discuss sustainability in a globalized financial market, the Symposium is carefully designed to promote dialogue among participants and speakers. Participants engage in lively debates at the beautifully located Swiss Re Centre of Global Dialogue overlooking the lake of Zurich. Participation at this longstanding event is limited to allow for intimate discussions.
