New seminar from October 28th-31st 2008 in Potsdam, Germany

Sustainable Development has always been at the core of development efforts and has now also become an important element of responsible business action. There is a vast pool of instruments, concepts and experience available at international and local level.

The key to unleashing its true potential, however, lies in the ability to understand the necessary competencies for developing a process of dialogue and cooperation for different stakeholders to engage, commit to joint action and ensure delivery of results across sectors.
Join an international group of practitioners at the Collective Leadership Institute in Potsdam to learn new tools and exchange experience.

"This is a strong team! A very helpful course! I learned a lot about respect between stakeholders and the need for a thorough stakeholder analysis."

Since September 2005, the Collective Leadership Institute, as a Non-Profit Organisation, supports people from business, the public sector, development cooperation, and civil society who have chosen sustainable development as their guiding principle. For us, the keys to a successful sustainable development are dialogic processes that bring together professional competence, stakeholder perspectives, political negotiation and results-oriented implementation.

In the area of the development and implementation of social and ecological standards, ecologic management, resource protection, energy efficiency, (social) conflict solution, as well as the development of products that support a sustainable economic performance - innovative approaches and new solutions often derive from cross-sector partnerships and multi-stakeholder dialogues. Many international and local specialists of development cooperation have realised that process competency with regard to the integration of stakeholders is an important factor of success for projects/ programs and an essential element for the sustainable transformation process in development countries and emerging markets. That is why, our goal is to anchor this process competence in an engagement for sustainability with a broad impact.
