 This year's conference theme is intended to promote discussion of urban livability, mixed-use development, local agriculture, pedestrianization, strong neighborhoods, accessible public space, and sustainable transportation.

 We are excited to announce that Gil Penalosa, a pioneer of Bogota's carfree ciclovia movement and executive director of the Canadian organization Walk and Bike for Life will deliver a keynote speech on Tuesday, June 17th, our free public day.

 8:00: Closing party featuring old time square dancing in the street

 8:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M.: Sunday Parkways
 
 Portland will celebrate its first ever ciclovia-style street closure. The proposed route will close six miles of streets for Portlanders to walk, bike, run, stroll, and roller blade along the route to activities in the parks as well as to nearby shops and businesses in the vicinity. |
